Annette Williams Martin gave me the number 7. What you dont know about me (probably)... 1. Annette and I played cello together with Margaret Shanklin in the only orchestra Hurricane ever had. We were fortunate to play in All State Orchestra as well. 2. I love dance although I never took formal lessons until I was old enough to afford them on my own. 3. I was a theatre major as an undergraduate with minors in music and English. I didnt study Special Education until graduate school. 4. I had several careers before teaching. I waited until my children were born and in school before I entered the classroom. Although this year has been especially hard, my goal is still to teach until Im 70 like my grandmother. 5. I love to cook and am most happy with a table full of family and friends for a meal together. 6. I took horseback riding for PE credit in college and look forward to getting back to it. 7. I live in the house my father built.
