Annoyed over anti-Jammu approach of NC leadership, Sham quits Ministry over daily wagers issue: Jammu: Known for his pro-Jammu approach, Minister for Public Health Engineering, Flood Control and Irrigation, Sham Lal Sharma this evening submitted his resignation from the Council of Ministers over anti-Jammu attitude of the coalition partner National Conference. A day after Diwali, Sham Lal Sharma has dropped a bomb shell and this bold decision of Congress ministers likely to change political dimension in J&K. Sham Lal Singh has submitted his resignation because National Conference ministers in the coalition government were reportedly opposing regularisation of daily wagers belong to Jammu province. Credible sources in the corridors of power disclosed that Sham Lal Sharma, who is Congress MLA from Akhnoor, was not happy over the way how NC ministers were opposing regularisation of daily wagers, need based workers and contractual employees of Jammu province. Mr Sharma has a number of times of taken this issue with his colleagues in NC but NC ministers were not interested to regularize these employees because most of them belong to Jammu province. This evening Sham Lal Sharma brought this issue in the notice of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather but their response was not on expected lines, credible sources said and added that annoyed with the approach of the NC leaders Sham Lal Sharma tendred his resignation from the Council of Ministers. Sham Lal Sharma belongs to the Congress party, he has submitted his resignation to the PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Soz and asked him to submit the same to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Sham Lal Sharma, a champion of Jammus cause, has recently taken confrontation with NC ministers on the issue of compensation to the refugees of PoK and Chhamb. NC ministers in the government were not happy with the way Sharma was pursuing pro-Jammu agenda so NC leadership created hurdle in regularizing daily wagers belong to Jammu region which ultimately forced Sham Lal Sharma to resign.
