Annual Parish Mission: Fr. Andy O’Reilly, C.PP.S. preaches our Parish Mission: “The Compassionate Life” on October 21st, 22nd and 23rd from 6:30 pm. – 7:30pm. Join us as we rediscover how faith enables us to face everyday life with the strength that comes from the unconditional love of God. Bring your family and neighbors to this special event. A Parish Mission might be described as a retreat that comes to you. To make a retreat, one must give a little extra time to silence, prayer and reflection in order to experience a renewal and growth in faith. Most people are not able to do that very easily in their regular daily routines. I strongly encourage you to plan ahead and mark the dates on your calendar. The attraction of a Parish Mission is that the preacher is a new voice, someone who has a particularly deep knowledge and experience of the spiritual life. The format of the Parish Mission will begin with the weekend Masses, where Fr. O’Reilly will introduce the Mission and invite everyone to attend. The most important part of the Mission week is the evening talks. There is also a chance to make a good confession, as it is meant to be a time of spiritual renewal. How much does it cost? There is no cost or registration, but you are welcome to make a good will offering if your situation allows. The mission week is open to anyone who would like to attend. You do not have to be parishioner to attend. I’m praying daily that parishioners will embrace this opportunity for spiritual growth --- Fr. Tom
