Anonymous wrote: THE ISOLATION OF A PRESIDENT Every day one peers through the internet and cant help but being taken aback by the vitriol of the absurd being pursued by President Goodluck Jonathans band of supporters. Having lost out in the battle to present their principal as competent and efficient the current refrain is the joint chorus that the Hausa/Fulani/Muslim hegemony has ganged up to make the nation ungovernable in a bid to scuttle his Presidential ambition. That this amorphous group are the sponsors of terror in Nigeria hence we must all queue up to rubberstamp a return to power of Goodluck Jonathan. This is indeed the hallmark of GEJS Presidency that promotes the division of Nigeria along ethnic lines by day in public but colludes with the Northern elite to retain power in secrecy by night. But in the midst of this fog, the President has ostracised himself from the hearts of many Nigerians. Instead of promoting unity and good governance there is an articulated campaign to paint a picture of Goodluck our brother from the South South vs the Hausa Yoruba conglomerate of evil boko haram supporters. For one, the folly of this group of megalomaniacs is made bare by their selective ignorance: for Boko Haram is a Kanuri based group and its origins have no basis in the Hausa Fulani ethnic group. Furthermore how does Goodluck Jonathan hope to win an election without votes of the masses in the North? And with the current trend of demonising the Hausa Fulanis, I doubt if there is a Hausa Fulani man or woman alive in Nigeria that will vote for GEJ. Even his VP Namadi Sambo may not vote for him. And now the vitriol has extended by the likes of Asari-Dokubo calling the Yorubas unprintable names all in a bid to intimidate Nigerians to embrace the shoeless one, one wonders how GEJ hopes to win a free and fair election without the votes of the Hausa Fulani and Yorubas. And with the 3 regional economic capitals of Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano firmly in opposition hands, GEJ is looking more like a lame duck President. The man has by commission or ommission isolated himself from the facts on the ground instead taking joy at the plastic smiles that greet him every day which are not born out of true love of his person but more inclined to love of the treasury he commands. This pack of sychophants can willing jump ship at a whim to sing a different tune of the absurd once the person at the helm signing their cheques changes. GEJ is just like Abacha. Easily misled and sequestered by the likes of Doyin Okupe, Patience Jonathan, Diezani Allison and Okonjo-Iweala hence the man is totally oblivious to the true picture around him just like Abacha who was deceived by Al-Mustapha, Sumaila Gwarzo and Yakasai. Indeed the famous words of his wife run true. Na only you waka come? GEJ is now an isolated President banking on only his kinsmen and the Igbo vote to stay in power, for the Hausa Fulani and Yoruba are officially his enemies and deserve to be ridiculed and ignored. Many say GEJ is meek kind and unassuming . This maybe true but Nigeria is currently in dire straits and needs a competent hand to steer the ship. GEJ and his politics of ethnic hatred and half truths can not generate the unity necessary to reverse the downward slide. Indeed this mistake will lead to his downfall and in the end he will be the one to imbibe the greatest ridicule of them all.
