Another Round of Polio Immunization campaign has come again for good! Saturday 6th July, 2013, is the Implementation day through the 9th of July 2013, while Mop Ups of the exercise is slated for the 10th of July 2013. Polio is a killer disease and can permanently crippled a child under the age of 5 years. Polio can easily be prevented with a free, safe and effective vaccine Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), which a child should receive several times. The vaccine has no side effects and can be given to newborn, sick and sleeping children. Do ensure all your children, including the newborn, sick and sleeping are vaccinated during every vaccination campaign and routine immunization at the health facility.
