Another Snake. Found this little guy while walking our dog in the morning. He was lying in someones driveway next to the street, (we live up in the hills) so picked him up and took him home. Snakes shouldnt play in the street. He was pretty pissed at first. Hed been trying to warm up on their concrete and then I grabbed him by the back of the neck and carried him away. He kept trying to turn around and bite me which is pretty meaningless cause hes a non-poisonous gopher snake, but he showed some attitude. I still had another ten minutes of walking before I got home and after a couple of minutes in my hand he mellowed out. Probably cause I didnt mess with him. I just held him, and my hand was nice and warm. After a while he looked pretty comfortable. We got home and I went inside and got my Nikon. Found out its really difficult to take a photo left handed. Its definitely a right handed camera, even changing the camera settings was a hassle. Finally shot two photos then let him go in my backyard. Ive got lots of gophers back there. Hope he gets big and gopher eating strong. Hes got potential. First thing he did was find a gopher hole and slither his way in.
