Another long day, the CT was delayed three times but she made it in around lunchtime. We asked for a new feeding tube to be inserted as hers was falling apart. I went in to tape it on when she was under her general and although it wasnt particularly nice seeing her unconscious with a tube down her throat and her eyes taped closed it took some of the anxiety away. Normally I place her on the bed the second the anaesthetic kicks in and she falls asleep, then I dont see her till shes awake in recovery. Seeing her asleep but hooked up to all the monitors and being so carefully looked after was very reassuring. She had another iv inserted so she has them in both arms now but she is much happier with them than her Hickman. We arent going to have any results until tomorrow morning now and her Oncologist has agreed to overnight leave after tweaking the timing of her medication. We are all looking forward to a night in Ronald Mcdonald.
