Another mourning without dawn in Palestine. Death toll in Gaza - TopicsExpress

Another mourning without dawn in Palestine. Death toll in Gaza reaches 39, including all lives taken since June 12th, the total is now 50. The media is still obsessing over a cycle of violence rather than an onslaught. Maybe thats why it fails to note that Israel has achieved the greatest calm using diplomatic means reducing rockets to single digits and zero in the 4 months of the 2008 ceasefire. Also consider that between 2004 and 2012, Hamas rockets have killed 26 Israelis, 7 of those fatalities occurred during Israeli Operations (Cast Lead and Pillar of Cloud): thats 1 in 4 of total deaths h/t Phan Nguyen. So why is it that Israel has consistently broken ceasefires? Its not about its security. Israel immediately broke the 2012 ceasefire by failing to ease the siege as agreed and shrunk the nautical fishing miles available for Palestinian fishermen to fish off of the Gaza Coast. And yet for two years, no media outlets described Israels violence even within this narrow frame. Hamass military wing has now issued its five conditions for ceasefire: 1) Stop Gaza offensive 2) Stop airstrikes 3) Abide by 2012 ceasefire terms 4) Free re-arrested prisoners released during Shalit prisoner exchange; and 5) Dont interfere with unity government This may be falling on deaf ears as Israel deploys its reserve troops to the West Bank so that its regular troops can be deployed to Gaza border.
