Another one from Luann Heres a great one that ended up having some interesting history behind it. (Be prepared, I dont call this one the screamer for nothing!) It was recorded in an undisclosed location in Fall River, Massachusetts in 2007. Five years after recording it we happened upon a book that told of The Mill Worker and the Minister or the murder of Sarah Maria Cornell. Ephraim K Avery, her minister didnt like the idea of supporting Sarah while she was recuperating from child birth, so he killed her. I guess it didnt help that he was a married man. He was found not guilty and the public was horrified. Everywhere Avery tried to move to he was almost lynched. He finally moved to Ohio where he spent the rest of his life. As for Sarah, people came to visit her grave site from all over the country and many were saddened by her death, and the verdict the court gave. Sarah was found hanging in what is now Kennedy Park in Fall River, her knees dragging in the snow. At first, they ruled it a suicide, but the ladies who prepared her for birth saw a different story as they cleaned and dressed her for funeral. Someone had even tried to remove the tiny four month old fetus from her womb. These ladies cried out for justice for Sarah and so, they exhumed her body and found the injuries that the women had seen, and changed their ruling to murder by strangulation. It was supposed by her injuries and witness reports that she had been dragged through the streets, beaten and finally strangled.
