Another race week comes to an end at Boulder BMX tonight. Three of us represented #TeamSNUC in their perspective classes. Leo in 5 & under, Noah did double duty racing up in 12 expert and 16 & under 4X open, and the Pirate in 41-46 novice. Last night we saw Leo get his race on at Ed Fountain BMX. 14 5 & under kids started the night racing for 8 spots in the main. Moto 9, he raced to 3rd place missing the transfer by one spot. Next race he got the holeshot and took it to the checkers, giving him a spot on the main gate. Main event lined up the 8 fastest kids of the night for the usual 5 & under showdown that we all have grown to love. Leo had a bad start and worked his way up to fourth, Just missing out on that podium spot. Tonight there were 13 5 & under. Moto 7 lined up 7 kids taking the top two straight to the main. Leo did ok, getting third, and having to race again to make the main. Race two was a carbon copy of last night, out front from start to finish. Main event, a bad start and lack of hustle, Leo settled for 5th. Moto 26 Noah lined up with four other 12 expert racers racing for the first two spots in the main. He crossed the line in 4th having to race again to make the main. There were eleven racers in the 16 & under 4X open class. Moto 29 lined up five of them taking top two again. Noah missed the transfer and had to race again. Moto 26 comes back around and Noah makes the main 12x finishing 2nd. Moto 29 combined with 4 others from moto 28 lining up seven 16 & under 4X open riders. Noah blasted out of the gate and pedaled his hart out to get one of those top three spots to make that open main. Main races, Noah nailed a 2nd in 12X and 5th in 4X open. Good job, Noah. The Pirate was moto 14. 3 of the fatest 41-46 novice racers lined up for a mid August showdown under the lights. The first race, the old man blasted out of the gate with a holeshot leading the other two riders out of turn one. Losing some time on the jump he crashed on, his rival, Eric, gained some time on him. Going into turn two, Pirate was looking to take the moto win. Then, he was passed by Eric in the rhythm section. So, he had to settle for 2nd place. The second race went down in the same fashion, getting the holeshot and then getting passed in the rhythm. Main event, looking to get that race win, Pirate hat tricked the holeshots for the night! Unfortunately, Eric hat tricked the pass in the rythm section, BOOO! Even with the old man taking his line he used to pass him the first two races, HAHA! Good job, Eric. The old man had to settle for second. not bad for being off the bike for two solid weeks. Untill next MOTO!! Thank you all, for the love and support you continue to show us all here at Team SNUC ;)
