Another repeated tactic used by Zionist and Western media to appropriate Israels disproportionate and barbaric actions against Gazas 1.8 million civilians: Hamas are constantly referred to as an Islamic militant group, terrorist organisation, or some other variation. This brainwashed presence of Islamist draws a direct line to terrorism and is being repeatedly used to invent the impression of fighting terrorists. They simply will not call them what they are. Hamas do not even do the fighting. If you want to imagine Hamas, imagine Muslim and Christian men in civilian clothing, or suits and ties as Members of Parliament, politicians, diplomats, and ministers in a range of different affairs. They are the democratically elected representatives of Palestine. Every state has a military which seeks to enable the safety and rights of its citizens. The British have the British Army, Israel have the Israeli Attack Force (formerly Israeli Defence Force, but given their recent actions a rebranding was in order), and so on. Hamass military branch is Al-Qassam- it even follows the same notion of having a different name and detached structure. Since the beginning of this current massacre, they have said there can be a ceasefire today, tomorrow, or now, as long as Gazas population is no longer entrapped like animals under siege! Their military branch are doing the job of any army and attempting to secure fundamental human rights for their people. So explain, why Islamic militant group? I do not see the British army, or the Conservatives being called the Catholic militant group, or Israels inhumane, UN targeting, children murdering army called the Jewish militant group. I do not call the Liberal Democrats terrorists because I may not agree with their policies. A political faction which has been legitimised by the democratic election of its people and consists of all concepts adherent to such organisations across the world should be called as it is. If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and looks like a duck- it is a goddamn duck. Such biased reporting, double standards, and passive hostility in every reference is unnecessary.
