Another venue has shut down. I dont want to hear anyone say Music sucks anymore... Oh yeah? Have you been to any local shows lately? Have you tried to listen to local bands? Have you listened to bands that are not on the radio? If not, you have no room to talk. Music is and always will be all around us. Your next favorite band could be playing at an old, run-down, venue this weekend. You would never know. You dont want to go see nobodys. You only want to see the bands that are only touring for money, not for love. You cant spare to spend $5 so that eight bands can split $100 between each other. No, because if it is not on MTV, Vh1, or the radio, it sucks. Just remember this the next time you want your musical revolution. You say music sucks? Change that. Go pick up an instrument, play it, suck at it, and improve. Go to local shows, meet people, listen to bands, support the music you like...Its out there, trust me. You have to understand that we as musicians need venues to even have a meaning for ourselves. Its the only place we have to let everything go, to scream our lungs out, to finally be listened to....Its all we have. Its not for money. Its for the love and the need of it. Just remember all of this when you scream revolution, yet no one can hear you over the shitty pop music....
