Answer this question for me. Why is it that when a persons criminal friend or relative goes to jail, the given person feels the need to protest and complain for their loved one? May I mind you Im not talking about your innocent sister or grandmother. Im talking about your thug nephew or your kleptomaniac bestie. These people are obviously criminals, thus they deserve to be punished when caught. So how can anyone perceive their incarceration as anything, but just. They knew they were committing crimes and they knew there were negative consequences, but still you get the free my nigga- or the keep ya head up, they cant hold you down forever. I believe theyre holding themselves down, with their perniciously nefarious acts, ijs. Isnt this sympathy just a negative reinforcement of their bad habits? Should we reaffirm that they are getting what they deserve, and that they should reflect on that reality? Maybe Im just a believer in old fashion tough love, but right is right and wrong is wrong, right?
