I am a native of Bolivar County, Mississippi growing up in the country area of Rosedale, Mississippi and then later moved within the city limits. I went to school in the West Bolivar school system in Rosedale, Mississippi and Eastwood Middle School in Cleveland, Mississippi. I later went back to Rosedale and graduated from West Bolivar High School. I’m a graduate from Delta State University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, and a minor in Political Science. I am a faithful member, Deacon, Choir President and Bible Class Instructor for the Riverside United Baptist Church in Rosedale, for which, I’m also the former Youth Director lead by Pastor Larry L. Williams. I’m the President of the Westside Domino Club and a professional disc golf player. I’m also the President and Director of the West Bolivar Male Chorus. I am a member of the Shaw Community Athletic Support Group in Shaw, Mississippi and a member of the Cleveland-Bolivar County Young Professionals group in Cleveland, Mississippi. I am happily and faithfully married to Bridget Knighten-Gibson a Drew native who was a former basketball player and homecoming queen for Drew High School. We have three adorable and delightful children: Anthony Gibson II, 14yrs. old; and Twins-Kaitlyn and Kylan Gibson, 10yrs. old. I am currently the Chief of Police for the City of Shaw Police Department and Former Chief of Police for the City of Drew, Mississippi. I’m a former Juvenile Detention Officer for Bolivar County Sheriff Department and Personnel and File Director for the City of Rosedale, Mississippi. I am a highly skilled and versatile law enforcement executive that has extensive leadership and problematical experience within the law enforcement community. I am an accomplished practitioner who has cutting-edge, innovative ways and thinking to enhance any law enforcement agency. I have an aggressive and visionary style which has helped enhance several government entities to prosper and grow in many ways, especially concerning receiving state and federal grants and technology enhancements. During the year of 2005, along with other colleagues, I had the privilege of interviewing a member of the I.R.A. (IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY) Danny Morrison for which the organization was classified as terrorists in Ireland. We also interviewed a Protestant Una-bomber as well. I received training in Forensic Medical Death Investigation in Mexico. I received training at Jackson State University and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in writing federal and state grants. I received training at The Institute of Violence Against Women and assisted a team of practitioners within the government with policies and procedures on handling Domestic Violence Laws and other issues in Atlanta, Georgia. I am currently registered in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. under Strathmore’s Who’s Who as a successful government administrator. I am also a student with the FBI National Virtual Academy. I am also Co-founder of a Cyber Crimes Group consisting of agencies and private sector businesses and academics throughout the world, the largest of its kind.
