Anxious anticipation is the name of the game this morning. We - TopicsExpress

Anxious anticipation is the name of the game this morning. We walked into the unit to hear that labs looked good and that was our last hurdle so homeward bound we go after the Trauma team comes by! Trauma team comes by and says bilirubin levels are up (significantly) and they want to keep him here to observe. I dont know if it was the looks on our faces or the sight of us all packed up and ready to run out the door that made the try to figure an alternative option. They made a call to see if they could send us home and with the understanding that if the levels dont come down by Monday, we are high tailing it back here. Yea! We ARE GOING HOME TODAY (after the put the second drain back in to collect the bile that could be causing the bilirubin numbers to increase). Wait... The drains been put in but nothing is draining and they cant flush it in either direction! More waiting to find an answer to this latest problem....... Please.... Please.... Please.... Let us go home today with a functioning drain! 🙏🏡🌀#23daysandcounting
