Any PC Gamers here? I need some opinions and feeback. I am getting my son a new notebook to play games, currently he has a Dell 17 with i7 8GB (bought 2 years ago) and he added a SSD card but complains that it overheat often and shuts down (even with cooling pad). He plays games non-stop on weekends. So, was thinking of getting him a new notebook and was considering MSI GE60 2PE Apache Pro or ASUS G551 where both below RM4K (both i7 and GTX860M) Spent more than 3 hours reading threads at LYN and reviews here and there. I noted that some said the MSI a frying pan, hahaha, and ASUS G551 no slot for m.SATA or SSD (need to remove this and that, e.g. remove DVD slot). And then I came across a ACER called V Nitro with i7 12GB RAM GTX860M and best of all cheaper (RM3299) than the two units mentioned above with same graphic card. Then I went to Dell and saw they got the new Alienware 13 but for the RM3999 unit no SSD and i5 only. So, I am trying my luck here to see any sifu/serious PC Gamers that read this post can advise me on what mid-level gaming notebook to get for my son.
