THREE SETS OF FIVE WORDS In the beginning God created…. ~ Genesis 1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ…. ~ Revelation 1:1 Yes, I am coming quickly. ~ Revelation 22:20 ** Here are three sets of five-word statements, covering the breadth of Scripture, which cover all of the basic theology. God is creator. He exists and rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). To think that there is no God Who is creator is to be a fool (Psalm 14:1). The very creation is evidence of the Creator, but they deliberately deny that fact, even though the thought of the Creator has crossed their minds (Romans 1:20-25). The revelation (the “revealing” or the “unveiling”) of Jesus Christ has been in process since Eden’s Garden. Through the shedding of an animal’s blood, God provided the covering of sin for our First Parents, thus beginning the foreshadows of the God-provided salvation of Jesus Christ, revealed in God’s chosen point in history (1 Peter 1:20). The Old Testament believers trusted in the Savior to come; the New Testament Christians trust in the Savior Who came. The revelation of Him included His death-burial-resurrection that effected our salvation. He is coming again. He will come for His bride (2 Corinthians 11:2), the blood-washed church, and sweep her away to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:19). He is also coming back with His redeemed ones to put down the antichrist and his marauders (Revelation 19:11-21). Have you trusted in Jesus? Are you ready for His return?
