Anybody curious as to how Americas Cultural Sensitivity training is going need only look as far as the number of holocaust jokes trending on twitter right now after Germanys win. Its just jokes they say. Stop being too PC. Yes, trying to show a little respect for the 6 million executed and the millions who died fighting it, clearly Im the asshole in this equation. Its like the Redskins thing, people flipping out about too PC. Whats next the chiefs? You want my honest opinion? Yes, probably so. Its the 21st century and continuing to denigrate an entire culture for the sake of sports or income or tradition just doesnt fly. Its not a case of being overly sensitive, its the gasping breaths of a society trying to grasp the concept of moral consciousness. Its like telling African Americans to get over slavery. Why? The Exodus was 3,500 years ago and were still talking about it! It became the basis of 3 major religions and is taught the world over. The Jews wandered the desert for 40 years, Ive only been able to drink at the same water fountain as you for 50. These things matter! Well thats not what I mean. Well what do you mean then? Sheesh.
