Anybody in the nabe find it extremely ironic that Canada Post forced their letter carriers to hand deliver us our reminders about the upcoming switch to community mail boxes? Our super awesome, always smiling Kelly Gil (as well as countless others) may as well have been handing out her job termination papers to each and every one of us today. And why? Whats in it for us? Absolutely nothing, no cost reductions for their customers, no fabulous service with a smile, no carrier that knows everyone by name and looks after our property, our pets and of course our letters and parcels... (And dont forget our fairy door requests and deliveries) Theres a phone number at the bottom of the letter... Perhaps those of us that are concerned for our elderly or physically challenged friends and neighbours as well as countless employees who are being needlessly dismissed should give them a ring and tell them how we feel about seeing this crap in our front yards.
