ApBDH Q & A Facebook Sessions: Heyyyyy Apostle... I have a question for you. Does every ministry operate in the 5 fold gifting? Ive been and have been a member of a church that they only focus on elders nothing more. They will not go outside of that based on their traditions. They knew the word but certain things they did not practice... like speaking in tongues and having women speak in church. Also, if they dont operate under the 5 fold gifting does that make them less of believers because they dont even though souls are saved under their ministry? --------------------------- Theres a story of a man who was blessed to go on a cruise. I think the story goes on to say that the man saved and saved his money to go on that cruise. He was a nifty man; he took crackers and snacks to eat while on the cruise and spent the majority of his time in his room while cruising, because he didnt have any extra money for food and the other amenities. Upon exiting the ship the captain says, hey where were you? I didnt see you at dinner or anything. The man responds ultimately letting the captain know that he had no extra money, to which the captain responds, all of these extras were included in the price of the ticket. You could have eaten dinner with me, and eaten as much as you wanted, as well as all the other amenities. Basically to answer your question, no everyone doesnt operate in the 5 ministry giftings, although they may extract 1 or 2 from the bunch. Even in the case of this apostolic prophetic movement many have gravitated to...we want to be apostolic and prophetic, but forget there is still the necessity of the Evangelist, Pastor & Teacher. Although we separate them, there should be a synergy operable among them that causes seamless but distinct movement. Often we fight what we dont understand instead of trying to understand what we are fighting. The man on the ship missed out because he missed a memo that all was inclusive, so he only enjoyed a fraction of the benefits. Intimidation kept him from exploration, and the fear of rejection fed him crackers where all types of food was available to him. His mind locked him into limitation, even though he was on the ship of no limitation. No it doesnt necessarily make them less of a believer, however it does mean they believe less. Will they make it to heaven, yes, but they will meet the captain only to hear Him say, you missed all of these benefits. ApBDH
