Apex Predator by Off Color Brewing Poured a hazed straw color yellow. Bright but chalky glow to the beer. A a fat white head of creamy foam is loathe to fall on this one and clings and leaves lace. The nose is gay with a touch of soft malt sweetness and bright sweet orange. A bit of the sweet lemon peel and some herbal round out this nose. There is a bit of yeast with a good funk on it and of all the characteristics I have mentioned this one is the most rugged. Taste is wonderful This is a delicate bit of soft bread with a drizzle of honey. The bright and delicate orange and some tart lemon. The grass is sweet on this and theres a touch of spice as it finishes. Finishes perfectly dry and with a bubbly carbonation that adds lightness. The body is supple and medium, the lingering finish is slightly bitter and leaves the sweet orange to resonate alongside its perfect counterpart the tart lemon . This was a handsomely crafted beer with all its facets meeting the other perfectly and gently. it has a serenity in the drink like if you were to come in to a noontime table filled with fruits, cheeses, breads and honey. It drinks gayly but not loudly. It is sweet and gentle and a formidable example of all this style has to offer.
