Apparently John MacKay (The Creation Guy), a young earth creationist, is speaking at Brookhouse Methodist Church tonight. If you are a Christian and youre thinking of going to listen to this guy, please be warned: this kind of conspiracy theory nonsense will do you NO GOOD WHATSOEVER. I am concerned to learn that a group of people from my own church are intending to go. I urge all my Christian friends to stay away. John MacKay will try and tell you that all of Science is wrong and the earth is only 6,000 to 10,000 years old. This is the sort of pseudo-scientific, pseudo-philosophical nonsense that gives the rest of us Christians a bad name. Never mind what the slightly odd people at church or your Bible study tell you. Never mind what MacKay might tell you. YES, God made the earth. YES, it has been around for millions and millions of years. And NO, these two statements are NOT a contradiction. Please, please ignore the fundamentalist fringe nutters like MacKay and get on with the important things in life. Dont believe hes daft? Take a look at this video in which Dawkins exposes MacKays circular logic and OWNS him. Just imagine how many needy people you could help tonight instead of going to listen to this delusional conspiracy theorist. If youre a Christian: dont give this guy mind-room. Please. If youre not a Christian, dont judge us by what this man says. Please. Rant over.
