Apple Day 2014 Sunday 12th October 12-4pm at Bowling Park Community Orchard, BD4 Apple Day will be slightly different this year. What can you expect? We are encouraging people to bring a picnic and spend the afternoon in the orchard with friends and family. We will still be organising a range of activities but we are scaling down this years event. It will still be great opportunity to enjoy appley cakes, juice, activities in a lovely setting. FOR SALE: cakes, hot drinks, freshly pressed apple juice, apples from the orchard (whatever is ripe on the day) ACTIVITIES: apple identification (please bring 3 fruit and a twig and leaves to aid identification), games and art activities, horticultural advice WHAT TO BRING: A picnic!! We will have drinks and cakes on sale, but please bring your savoury picnic. Why not try some of the dishes we have had on offer in previous years? Some of our recipes can be found here. A picnic rug or chair (there are benches in the orchard but we wont have a s many tables and chairs). Donations to contribute towards the cost of the day. If youve got any spare apples you could bring them along for juicing. Marquees and Toilet will be provided as normal.
