Applicant response: Salaams, I’d like to participate in this study group as it’ll shed some light on issues that are not only very pertinent to Muslims (especially as a minority in the West), but is also something that’s rarely (if ever) talked about, and inshaAllah this study group will give me sufficient exposure to develop a basic understanding of these topics. I’ve read/listened to Yassir and his ilk, and while they have been very enlightening, I still feel like I’m missing a lot and iA this study group format will allow me to engage and ask any questions I might have. I’m a student of philosophy and psychology at university, and have a keen interest in the liberal arts, so naturally all this is very interesting to me and will provide some grist for my mill. We’re basically told that psychoanalysis is synonymous to bullsh*t at uni…so the topic of ‘Psychoanalysis & Islam’ also intrigues me. Regards
