Are you a boater? A large northwesterly swell continues to impact the coastal waters. Seas above 10 feet are already occurring across the outer coastal waters and starting to impact harbor entrances such as Morro Bay and Ventura Harbor. The swell will continue to build through Friday as a storm system approaches the area potential reaching 20 feet in some location along the Central Coast of California. A cold air mass with the developing storm system will bring isolated thunderstorms, waterspouts and small hail to the coastal waters between Thursday night and Friday night. Boaters are advised to remain in safe harbor until the weather and sea conditions improve. Prior to entering harbor entrances, it is advised to contact local authorities for the latest weather and harbor conditions. When on your boat, always monitor NOAA Weather Radio for the latest weather conditions.
