Are you in danger of being spit out? Faith and Christian responsibility are becoming less and less part of the American conversation, as there is a greater division in peoples lives from what they do on Sundays and the rest of the week. More within the church are accepting the secular premise that Christianity has added little benefit to the world and that love means the absence of conflict and confrontation more than standing up for justice, defending the innocent, and holding dearly to what is right even if doing so is not comfortable, politically correct, or profitable. For the upcoming generation in the Church, faith has to be practical more than life-altering--truth is relative more than it is absolute. Realism trumps righteousness. Prayer, reading the Bible regularly, living simply, and spending quiet times in contemplation to seek God are being replaced by a Gospel of intellectualism, materialism, success, and tolerance of evil. Dr. Mike Evans, The Final Generation. Fulfilling prophesy again per Revelation 3 about the lukewarm church, where God will spit them out of His mouth. Wow, that cant be good. I am totally familiar with this, as it is mostly of what Ive witnessed, and with people I personally know. Thats why I pray everyday for them, and forgive them. So where do YOU stand? Is it with YOUR version of God, as above, or with the one and only true LIVING Gods version through Jesus?
