Argentina Road Trip, Days 3-4 (Aug 10-11): Tucuman. Tucuman is the sugar capital of Argentina... Not a conventionally pretty city, with its traffic-clogged streets, and somewhat boisterous reputation, it nonetheless has great food, and a few interesting tourist sites. Among the latter, there is the place where the Congress of Tucuman, on 9 of July, 1816, proclaimed the independence of Argentina... Tangueros, in the case you were wondering about Nueve de Julio, thats the where and why :) We got to catch up with our friend Betiana Felice, (who admitted she misses Singapore food :)), and to eat a massive parilla libre (Brazilian style, rodizio). The rest of the time we spent in a traffic jam ;) But we are finally approaching our destination, the mountainous northwest of Argentina!
