Aria and I headed for Sevierville and The Great Smoky Mountains - TopicsExpress

Aria and I headed for Sevierville and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park Sunday afternoon. Her eyes were open wide with wonder as we traveled through small towns along I-40 East. The leaves are brilliant with color, and the air is crisp with the feel of Autumn. We saw mountain goats as we headed up the Cumberland Plateau and, the huge pink elephant was at the Pit Stop in Baxter, TN. She was totally amazed by the Sun Sphere in Knoxville and, as we rounded the curve with Rockwood spread out before us in Roan Valley, she said, Oh! Mimi, please dont fall off this mountain!. Monday it was on to Dollywood riding in an open air shuttle. She said, Ive never been anyplace like this before! We rode the train, the Cup & Saucer, and she rode a kiddie roller coaster, flying pigs, airplanes, and pretty much everything designed for children. We ate lunch by the Show Street Fountain. Once she learned the ducks would eat out of her hand, she fed her food to the ducks. The park closed at 6 PM. As we left Dollywood behind, she said, My little feet hurt! She wanted to stop at every nook and cranny in Pigeon Forge. Then as we headed to my brothers, she proclaimed that she would be bringing her entire class for a field trip!. Good luck Aria. My niece, Gerry, took her out to hunt for Indian rocks and they filled a bucket full. My niece designs costumes for theaters and she and Aria designed costumes for paper doll models and we had a fashion show. Yesterday when we left, she cried. I suppose she had way too much fun. With my promise to return in the Summer she was okay. All the way home, she talked about her trip saying, You are my best Mimi! Yahoo!!.
