Arindam Ghosh has got it into his crazy head that organizing a debate knowledge sharing event after Chennai Worlds 2014 is a good idea. I agree! Its incredibly late, but not too late. If enough people are keen, well move ahead with the organization of it. Now I bring some interesting news for all debate enthusiasts. Over the last couple of weeks I and Logandran Balavijendran have been collaborating on the possibility of holding a World Debate Forum here in Chennai right after the Chennai WUDC. I have some promising news on that front and would like announce that we have sorted out the logistics and facilities to have WDF 2014 if we have people interested in attending it and sharing the vast knowledge about debates which they possess. For now the tentative details are thus; - Reg Fees: 125 Euros for a two day event (Tentative, working on reduction, suggestions on the duration are welcome) - Fees will cover pickup from WUDC hotel (If WUDC hotel doesnt provide shuttle) and drop to the airport, all meals, convention space in a 4 star hotel located in the heart of Chennai which is at a convenient distance from the railway station and airport. The hotel (JP Hotel [hoteljpchennai/] ) is located in Koyambedu opposite Asias largest bus terminus CMBT(Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus) which provides instant connectivity to all parts of Chennai and to nearby major cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad with buses plying every 5 minutes. Probability of a social event with some good music and drinks is also high. Please let us know your suggestions to make this event a well-remembered one.
