Arrested: Joshua James Reed, 18 years of age, of Coeur d’Alene On 05/28/14 Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives arrested Joshua Reed for his role in the Jimmy Johns robbery reported to police on 05/03/14. On that date Reed stated to officers that a robbery had just occurred at Jimmy Johns located at 2626 N. Government Way. Reed who is an employee reported being forced by a male suspect back into the business from outside while taking out the garbage. Reed said a male displayed a handgun and pointed it at him. Reed said the suspect male demanded he give him cash. He said he complied with his demands, and the suspect fled the area on foot. Through the course of the investigation detectives were able to determine Reed planned the phony robbery and three other individuals assisted him. Those individuals have not been arrested at this time so their names will not be released. Detectives recovered an air soft pistol used in the fake robbery and a bank bag that was taken from the business. Reed was charged with burglary for his role in this theft.
