Arsenals season defined by two weeks in March Since an embarrassing 3-1 home defeat to Aston Villa, Arsenal have really turned on the style; they sit at the summit of the Premier League going into the International break, two points ahead of Liverpool and three ahead of in-form Southampton, who Arsenal face next at the Emirates Stadium. On Sunday, the Gunners travelled to Old Trafford, after impressive wins against Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, but were again haunted by their former star-striker Robin van Persie, who scored the winning goal with a well-guided header on the 27th minute. The result leaves Manchester United just five points a-drift from Arsenal even after their poor start. Since that defeat, fans of all kinds have had very mixed opinions on Arsenals title hopes this season. I believe, despite it being another few months away, that the 15th-29th of March will be the time to show their quality. On the 15th of March, Arsenal travel to White Hart Lane, in a fixture which last season they lost 2-1. This is a must-win match for them; if Arsenal are hoping to win the Premier League title, they have to win the North London derby against Spurs. A week later, Arsenal face an even more daunting challenge against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Gunners lost this game 2-1 last time out, and Arsene Wengers side will really have to pull this result out of the bag, as they have only won twice in their last 11 meetings with Chelsea. Finally, Arsenal host Manchester City in a game which Arsene Wengers side also lost last season, 2-0. The Citizens have a team of world-class players, and any game against City is always going to be tough. Now we have seen that Arsenal lost all three of these games, dropping 9 points, and whether they will still be in the title race at this point or not is obviously uncertain at this stage. However, if they were to turn those results around this season, they could stand a real chance of glory. Moreover, Ivan Gazidis, the chief executive of Arsenal, has recently stated that the Gunners are targeting a striker in the January transfer window. Javier Hernandez, Karim Benzema, Demba Ba, and Diego Costa are all names primarily linked with the Gunners this January. And, if they were to sign one of these players, it could change he Gunners depth and would give them another option of playing style. By March, a new signing will have been with Arsenal for at least a month, so will most likely have found their place in the team. Of course, the same goes for City, Chelsea and Spurs, as they also have the chance to sign players. One thing is for sure though, and that is that if Arsenal were to win those three games, they would really stand a chance >ndia apapa apa
