Arsonists Attack German Paper That Published French Cartoons Associated Press (01/12/15) Grieshaber, Kirsten The newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost said on Jan. 11, an overnight arson attack destroyed several files in its archive after it republished the cartoons of French weekly Charlie Hebdo. Hamburg police detained two men near the newspaper building. The Hamburg fire department extinguished the fire and no one was injured. Police spokeswoman Karina Sadowsky said several stones and a Molotov cocktail were found in the newspapers archive in the basement of the building. Other newspapers also published the cartoons and are now receiving police protection.
