Article Abstract: Museumsbäckerei Imsweiler – Imsweiler Muehle Submitted by besmith on January 14, 2015 – 9:22am. In 1985 my sister lived in the little town of Imsweiler in RheinlandPfalz, Germany. This town has a population of about 600 people and is about 6 miles north of Kaiserslautern. In the town was a bakery and mill that had been in continuous operation since the 14th Century where I had the absolutely most amazing almost black pumpernickel bread featuring an astounding amount of whole grains. I have dreamed of that bread for 30 years, but have never made it back. I was just looking for the bakery on the internet and find it has been turned into a museum. Does anyone else have any experience with this bakery? Here are three webpages giving contact information and hours for the bakery/museum. Can someone visit and get the recipe for that pumpernickel bread and post it? I’ve been jonesing for 30 years. ift.tt/1AQsC0s ift.tt/1AQsFcC ift.tt/17I39Nd Map:ift.tt/[email protected],7.7844625,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x4796055491e2e21f:0x422d4d510db2530 from The Fresh Loaf Click Here To Read Full Article Visit The Fresh Loaf for more great articles.
