As I lay here and think about my life currently and also the past 20 + years I wonder about selflessness. So often I think and pray for things (mostly non tangible) and will always catch myself thinking and then feeling guilty that I already have so much more than so many people do in the world - and the I realize the selfishness of my prayers. I lay here and thank God for my warm bed (even tho I am alone) while I know there are people without a place to sleep. I thanked God for my health (despite some minor mishaps in the years) while there is so much sickness around that at any given moment it could easily be me. I thank God for my family (regardless of the circumstances). I know I am blessed and I only pray and hope that my whole heart will realize this one day and let go of the selfishness for none of us really and truly deserve anything. Tonight, I am thinking of people less fortunate than me and pray they find some comfort and peace in their lives. That is my prayer tonight - that I choose to share with you. 💕
