As I take a trip down memory lane, I want to give the world a glimpse of what once was. It was Tuesday, September 4, 2012 that I originally released my debut studio album, “The Art of Céran.” From November 2010 through August 2012, I recorded this original full-length album. Verily, I have to give special thanks to my friend, Teddy Fitzgibbons (known as “TFitz” on the recording we did together, “Reality’s Reverie”) for assisting the sustained success of my debut album. The title of my album stemmed from my stage name, Céran, and the music, or “art,” that I wish to share with the world. The name, Céran, is a name of French origin that was also the name of a seventh-century French saint. I chose this stage name because it is a male-given name of French origin that means, “the thunderer,” which adequately describes the way in which I desire to “storm” onto the music scene, while also paying tribute to my Louisiana Creole heritage in the process. Upon its initial release, “The Art of Céran,” garnered acclaim from the critics—with a solid, respectable rating of 3.5 stars (out of 5) from music critic, Matthew Forss, of “Review You CD Reviews.” The album went on to accrue sales domestically in the United States, as well as abroad in territories like Germany and Mexico. The album spawned three singles in total—two promotional singles and one buzz single. The album’s lead promotional single, “The Occident,” became an international breakthrough smash hit, and it sustained sales of the album for many months. The single also garnered critical acclaim, as I drew comparisons to Michael Jackson’s vocal, musical, and stylistic eccentricities from the critics. Prior to the album’s release, a buzz single was initially released—a cover of Dean Martin’s jazz classic, “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You.” Several months ensuing the albums late-summer release, the second and final promotional single was released—the neo-soul/funk/quiet storm down-tempo joint, “Nothing But A Memory.” My sophomore album, “Verity,” will hit music shelves worldwide this March, and I am hard at work on a third full-length record. But, at last, here is the album preview of my first, the original, “The Art of Céran.” “The Art of Céran,” is now available on iTunes: https://itunes.apple/us/album/the-art-of-ceran/id599642903 Feel free to check out the album’s official review: reviewyou/ceran-the-art-of-ceran/ Discover more about Céran by visiting his Official Site: ceran.webs/
