As I walked along the footpath in the glen By Patrick B. Maxwell As I walked along the footpath in the glen. I saw him dance amongst the sun beams gathered there. The brightness of his pure love beckoned me. And I was captured in the love light’s burning fare. The menu; bread and wine I supped and didn’t see, The power of graceful dance upon my longing heart. The eyes of eyes seared through my pulsing revere And I was lost again to loves fine tempered art. No yesterdays, no future’s pleasant mem. Took hold to fast’ as fastened I became. His love a timeless gilded gift upon my me. My soul a willing love for love’s great Love to tame. The blessed rainbows tied themselves to him, And I was caused to paint with fingered brush. The mellow colors of contented hearts And risk thy Love’s great blushing rush. August 18, 2013
