As I was reading a post that was put on my news feed, it showed me how society wants to create clones of each other, universal, having no thought or unique perspectives put into literature. It is like telling a room filled with gifted artists that they must all use the same brush stroke and paint the exact same picture, without exemption. What a dull world it is when differences are never displayed. Would the world seek to see the painting called the Mona Lisa, if Da Vinci didnt put himself into his work to paint a priceless treasure that has existed for centuries? Would society pay large sums for the work of Remington, Mozart, Bach, Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Rousseau, etc if they were mere clones of everyone else? As a writer, I write my novels the way they unfold in my head. That is my character, what I am, with my own style, unique, and if others dont like it, that is their choice, but I refuse to altar my own personality to conform with a million other people that are mere clones of each other. I am me and if I describe something the way I see it, no one has the right to criticize it as being wrong. Each writer is unique in their own perspectives of life, which is seen through Shakespeare, D. H. Lawrence, Issac Asimov, George Lucas, J. K. Rowling. You know instantly whom you are reading, because their writing technique stands out from the crowd, it isnt just a carbon copy of other writers that society says are correct. The greatest nation in the world is the imagination and when others seek to destroy the art, they are wasting a human mind.
