As I was tucking mom into bed just now, I was reminded how blessed we are to be able to care for her. She likes her bed warmed, her pjs warmed, a cup of tea, a cookie and her meds before bed. :-) I know what a comfort it is to me to know that she is right here with me. She is safe and treated royally! Then, I thought how wonderful it is for her to lie down and sleep where she knows she is safe and protected. She doesnt have to worry that someone might mistreat her or ignore her. She can rest peacefully knowing that one ring of the bell and I am rushing to her bedside!!! Lol :-). I know everyone does not have the luxury of taking care of their parent. I guess I just wanted to say how grateful I am that God has allowed me to do this. I treasure this time...I know it wont last forever......
