As I watched the kid who is responsible for this horrific crime be taken away in the police car on TV, I couldnt help but ache for him too. He looked so young. 16 years old. What makes someone so young resort to such violence? I think it is quite simple. Too many kids go to school each day feeling alone, isolated, ignored and insignificant. The greatest desire that we all have is to be loved. We need to become better at loving each other. I am not justifying what he did, but I believe these senseless tragedies would stop if we just started loving instead of judging.....accepting instead of rejecting.....including instead of ignoring. It starts with us....and our children.
