As a novice Android developer I keep hearing horror stories about Googles vicious, mysterious, and completely irreversible account suspension policies. Ive heard multiple accounts of people with multi-year development careers having them basically ended overnight for reasons they cant fully identify because of a mysterious google suspension. This shuts down their Google wallet, they cant appeal etc etc... Has anyone here had such an experience? I keep hearing these stories and Im wondering if I should bother continuing to develop my skills to get to a professional level at all if it can be rendered useless at a whim. A huge part of the Google Play store is skinned apps... apps with identical concepts which look and feel different and there are entire websites dedicated to giving people ideas, tutorials and code to facilitate this... (chupamobile). If Google doesnt like this why are they just now cracking down and are they aware that this is taking innocent victims including career Google developers?
