As a parent this is my opinion on what is wrong with the way our public school system is set up (at least in Indiana because I cant speak for other states). We need to send our kids back to neighborhood schools, close down all this transferring around, and stop private school vouchers! If you want your kid to attend private school then sacrifice and pay for it! Tax money should go towards our PUBLIC schools that already struggle. If each kid went to school in their own neighborhood, like we did as kids, maybe there would be a sense of community and pride?! It would at the least stop some of the confusion and chaos. Why do we need special magnet schools and academies? Why not strive to make each school the best it can possibly be for our children? Thats what they deserve!!!!!
