As a survivor of domestic abuse I can only say that this is an all too real issue. We lived with his father and step mother and they heard everything and never once stepped in. They spoke with him once and said not to hit me and that was it. No one called the police. No one tried to help me leave when I tried and he threatened to kill me. No one did anything help my son or myself. Do not turn a blind eye to this. It needs to stop and that can only happen when awareness is spread and people step up and help each other. Find a number for a domestic abuse hotline in your area and keep it on you at all times. Call the police the minute you see any thing and if you know a friend male or female in a domestic situation who are needing help give them the number. You could be saving a life.
