As a teacher, a coach, a mentor and studio owner I take on the responsibility of not only teaching dance but teaching little girls how to act like little girls. I see postings of little girls wearing short shorts and bra tops with their bellies and crotches hanging out and it saddens me that this behavior is ok with their parents. Little girls should be taught to respect their bodies not flaunt them. Dance etiquette is about respect and appearance and body language. Dance is not about flaunting your body by showing it all off and shaking it. Dance is an art. Femininity and attractiveness are way above outer appearances; magnetic and irresistible feminine charms take their beginnings inside the heart.
