As always I have spent the days leading up to the holiday making sure hundreds of other people have a meal to put on their table today, but I have neglected to make the simple preparations and do the shopping for my own home and those that will join us today. The turkey got thawed, but 75% of my fix ins were MIA. Last night after dinner I fell asleep in a chair and didnt go to the store as planned. So, this a.m. at 5:30 when I woke up in a panic I headed out to Meijer where I was the only person shopping in the grocery department. When I got to the cash register I was the 30th person from the register behind everyone else in the county who bought a TV. 1 hr and 45 minutes later I finally got everything home and prepped it up for our meal.
