As an educator I understand the frustration of recieving minimal pay for work. Teaching on any level is a challenge, my experience as a college professor is no different and at times I feel overworked and under appreciated. 12 to 15 hour days, grades, behavior issues you would think at the college level things will change as far as maturity but they do not. We can blame any system or upbringing, point fingers and explain how our educational system has failed our children true but I chose this profession. Its a profession that I do because deep down inside I want to inspire. Even if I inspire 1 student out of 25 in my classes I am doing my job. No exam or state test can measure how you change a young persons life. Should teachers get paid more for their services, I agree whole 100 percent. Should teachers resist and strike yes...We are parents and yes parents stop raising their children that is a choice. We may not understand why or agree but this is reality; people quit. I ask any rapper frustrated about people not wanting to listen to your music; feeling like you are not making a difference if you havent; try teaching a class. You will learn how to control a crowd. You will figure out when the crowd is vibing with you or not. True I dont do shows like I use to and I should be more agressive on my shows but everyday I am up infront of crowds and they depend on me to entertain, teach, and show them something new. Somedays are better than others, but after those 12 to 15 hours I have reached someone on a level that is undeniable. Shows are important but what I do in Hip Hop is more than just being a hot rapper. I am a rapper 24 hours a day. I can spit bars over beats or teach someone how understanding Micro Economics can make you a better business person. I can write the next hot song and get radio play or I can break down how consumers of rap music dont value product and refuse to pay for music this is due to the rules of Supply and Demand. I emcee all the time... I am Emcee in life just like I do in Music....this is why I am Hip Hop... Whats your story?
