As i celebrate One Year anniversary of my Priesthood I would like to let u know that things I enjoy most are preaching and praying with people. Trying to make the scriptures understandable and “life-connected” is an exciting challenge which also nourishes my personal prayer life. Priesthood provides the environment to meet and deal with genuinely holy people. Some of them are in the midst of enormous life struggles. Others have a more peaceful life, which is also deeply rooted in faith. Priestly ministry is an adventure of learning and celebrating God’s works and ways. Priesthood places one squarely in the midst of God’s people as one who is to serve. As a priest, I am no more a part of the people of God than anyone else. We are ALL called to serve, each according to one’s vocation. Respect is earned, not presumed. And, as servant-priests, we are, above all, the “ones” who are to live the example of Christ, and wash the feet of the rest, not the other way around. I appreciate your presence in helping me to live my priestly life. I shared with you joys and pains and you were there to support. God bless.
