As i have two lemon trees full of lemons i thought i may share my lemonade recipe with all of you. 1 cup sugar 1 cup water zest of 1 lemon put sugar, water and lemon zest into a sauce pan, bring to boil, simmer until the sugar has dissolved. let lemon zest infuse for about 10 minutes then strain (simple syrup) add 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and 2 to 3 cups of water. put into a nice pitcher and chill for about 1 hour. serve with ice and lemon slices and add some mint or basil or thyme to the lemonade for garnish. you can make the simple syrup (sugar, water, lemon zest) and keep it in a bottle in the fridge for weeks.
