As of 2012 NCSB Survey Lanao Del Sur is the Poorest Province in the PH with the Highest Poverty Incidence. But there is still hope to turn that into one of the Most Productive Province in the PH. I was Having a Conversation last night with one of my maternal Uncle who is engaged in Rice Buying and Selling--he said there is a significant Boom or Increase in the Locally Produced native Rice from Basak areas. he said Outsiders are now buying from us because ours is native and not genetically modified its healthy he added. Try to Imagine if the 340 square Kilometer Lake Lanao became an Agricultural land? Because of our Good weather and Abundance supply of water from our Forests LDS Could have been the Number One Rice Producer in the PH (we were once) But ALLAH (S.W.T.) has Other Plans for us Lake People-- He Gave us the Lake instead. But sad to Say Our Lake is now the Biggest Hydro Reservoir in the PH for the 6 NPC-PSALM Agus Hydro Electric Plants that Generates more than 50 % of the whole Mindanao Power requirement. Our Lake is here but not for our Benefit but for Others. We Cannot undone what they Did to the Natural state of the Lake but There are ways or Mechanisms to Mutually Benefit from it-- them and US (Meranaws). Hear Us! #SAVERANAW
