As part of the activities carried out by the MY World Global Week of Action, UN Volunteers Milena Naranjo and Lena Priesemann, promoted an initiative with the students of the Colegio Carlos María La Condamine in Quito, Ecuador. Thanks to this initiative and other efforts around the globe, more than two million people from 194 different nations have already expressed their opinion to the United Nations. The MY World Global Week of Action, organized from 5-11 May 2014, has set a new mobilization effort worldwide to collect 500,000 additional votes. Through the enthusiasm, energy and commitment of the UN and volunteers, UNV has been a part of the weeks many actions.
