As political rhetoric heats up this is just a reminder: Four years from now people will still be dying of malnutrition and unclean drinking water. Four years from now we will still be facing violence in our schools and in the streets. Four years from now orphans will still desperately need a home. And four years from now millions will be dying and entering eternity separated from Jesus. Despite the political ads and promises, neither party will change those things or the other horrible problems our world is facing. They will be doing what they are today, trying to get reelected. As believers, we know there is only one hope for real change, Jesus Christ. So, by all means, vote and vote the principals of the Word of God. But remember, the most important thing that happens is not how people vote in the ballot box on election night, but what we allow God to do in and through us today.
